So.

He's dead.

He can't say he didn't see it coming, but there it is. He's a little pissed at himself for how it happened. He won't be able to see the look on Shido's face when he pulls the trigger. Won't be able to see his long fall. Won't be able to do much of anything now.

... That also pisses him off. But right now, honestly, Akechi's too tired to truly feel much of anything except disappointment. Now that he thinks about it, he's been tired for a very, very long time.

Even now, though, can't he get some goddamn rest? He's on some fucking train, and all he wants is just to--

... He doesn't know what he wants. Akechi picks at the seat he's sitting on, and when he hears footsteps, he looks up. And he bristles.

"What the hell are you doing here?"
